An asset type is any category of equipment owned or operated by your organization, but especially those types of equipment that require routine maintenance and servicing. There are two classes of asset types: system and custom.
System asset types are the default asset types that exist for every organization: vehicle and trailer. If your organization requires more specific classes of assets, create a custom asset type.
To set up asset types:
Click Setup in the menu bar, then click Asset Types.
Preset types are Vehicles and Trailers. Other types can be created for different types of equipment, but drivers will only be able to access Vehicles and Trailers for the DVIR report on the tablet.
